The National Traffic Safety Board reviewed 1,566 wrong-way auto accidents involving fatalities from 2004-2009. Of these, 936 wrong-way drivers (60%) had indications of alcohol involvement. By comparison, only 126 other drivers (6.5%) in the same fatal wrong-way crashes had alcohol involvement. Also, the NTSB analyzed 1,150 wrong-way accidents whose blood alcohol level was reported and 59% had a blood alcohol content at or above 0.15%. What does a blood alcohol content of 0.15% mean?
